Beth Aldrich, a healthy lifestyle and green-living expert, media personality, writer and on-the-go-mom, encourages everyone to live a healthy and eco-friendly lifestyle by taking care of themselves, others and the planet. As a lifestyle columnist for Hot Moms Club and For Her Information, and through her blogs Green Mom and Real Moms Love to Eat, Aldrich shares her wisdom, experience and knowledge about all things “health and green” and provides mom-tested/child-approved tips and ideas to improve well being for the entire family.”
Aldrich founded For Her Information Media, LLC (FHI) in 2003 with the mission to serve as a lifestyle guide for conscious-minded women. FHI is responsible for productions such as the PBS TV series, “For Her Information,” the radio show, “A Balanced Life with Beth Aldrich,” as well as the online magazine and newsletter, FHI Online. Additionally, Aldrich is the founder of Restoring Essence Nutrition, LLC and a Certified Holistic Health and Nutritional Counselor through the American Association of Drugless Practitioners (AADP).
With more than 20 years of on-camera experience, as well as training at the Second City Training Center in Chicago and the Alliance Theatre in Atlanta, Aldrich has developed the enigmatic wit and kindness to engage and captivate audiences. She held the lead role in all of Delta Airlines on-board videos for five years, appeared in several commercials and has been featured on numerous radio shows and media outlets such as Woman’s Day Magazine’s “Radio WD,”"ABC7 Chicago News,” The Chicago Tribune, “Good News Health” and “Be the Best You” with Connie Nelson, to name a few.
Aldrich received her education from Columbia University’s Teachers College and The Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York City. She also holds a B.A. in English/Journalism from Kent State University and Christopher Newport University in Virginia.
She served on the original Executive Committee for non-profit organization, Cool Globes, an international traveling art exhibit that shares ideas for solutions to global warming. Aldrich’s company, For Her Information Media, LLC, gifted the development and creation of the exhibit guidebook for the summer 2007 Cool Globes event that appeared on Chicago’s lakefront, as well as assisted in production of the event’s gala. Aldrich also serves as a Luminary Member of Step Up Women’s Network, supporting young women through mentoring programs. She also regularly volunteers at her childrens’ school, donating nutritional, environmental and media-based projects in the classroom and to parents.
In her free time, she runs, swims, enjoys yoga, plays golf with her family, is challenged by Sudoku, prepares raw food recipes and has a passion for the Indiana dunes. Aldrich lives with her husband, three sons and two Tibetan Terriers in Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood.
